Hi, I'm Zahra /ˈzɑː.rə/
I specialize in crafting intuitive and impactful digital experiences that resonate with users and deliver meaningful outcomes—both on and beyond the screen.
My work is guided by a commitment to ethical, social, and environmental responsibility, ensuring that design solutions not only meet user needs but also contribute positively to the world around us. I see an opportunity for digital designers to contribute to our planet's wellbeing by creating and facilitating mindful interactions with ourselves, other humans, and our natural surroundings.
I have a Master of Interaction Design from Emily Carr University of Art + Design and a BA in Visual Communications from Art University of Tehran. The path that led me here made me develop a holistic approach in product design where users are the centre of the experience, while taking account of the adjacent users, and the environment encompassing us all (More-than-Human Design1).

1More-than-Human Design: This methodology attempts to address our entanglement with the rest of the world by expanding the Human-centered approach and intervening in different stages of the Design Thinking strategy. In a collaborative master's thesis (2022), my colleague and I devised a framework to expand on this methodology.
Other than design,I enjoy collecting doing crafts (of all sorts), and soaking in the endless beauties of British Columbia.
I also take a lot of pictures, and occasionally share a few on my Instagram.
